((This is a holiday-specific RP thread that will continue for two weeks or until it runs out of steam. I have a feeling it will be the latter xP))

Christine had never seen anything so... colorful before. People milled about backstage, bumping past her flimsy temporary apartment and shouting to each-other in a garbled mix of languages. As a performer, she had of course been invited to the Halloween masquerade, but she had no idea what to do, and what was worse, nothing to wear.

Perhaps the wardrobe mistress could help her? If only she knew someone here...
But she did, didn't she? Miss Demi from the hall. She gathered her skirts and hurried through the crowd towards the foyer, arriving to see it packed with even more people: rich lords and ladies, dancers, chorus...

If the Opera is like this every time there's an event, I'm not sure how I'm going to survive!

Cerise stood by the stairs as usual but dressed up in a simple white and black dress and she had a half white, half black mask on that only covered her eyes. She head been at the front door earlier greeting people and welcoming them in. Though soon someone else came and she had had been serving drinks. There were so many people and so many colors. She was glad that she had been able to dress up some for tonight as well.

Now she watched people and would glance at the people painted like gold statues holding their candles. It was pure delight for her to see the costumes and different masks. Her hair was down so that it hid the band that kept her mask on and she waited for anyone else who needed help. Though she was going to dance if she could.
